Mayumi Nakamura, head of format development and sales in the international business department of TV Asahi, talks about some of the company's key unscripted and scripted format highlights.
Tell me more. Lovers of Nordic noir stand by. A dark and brooding six-part Finnish psychological thriller is coming to BBC Four and BBC iPlayer. Man In Room 301 centres on the Kurtti family whose lives are torn apart by the death of their toddler son. In 2007, while holidaying at a cabin in Finland, their two-year-old Tommi wanders off and is shot dead. A 12-year-old boy called Elias Leppo is blamed for the killing.
Then what? The story picks up 12 years later. On a holiday to Greece, the family becomes unsettled by a fellow guest at their resort. A man called Leo, staying in room 301, bears a resemblance to Leppo, fits the age profile, and seems to be acting suspiciously.

Banijay names Peter Langenberg COO
Paris-headquartered super indie Banijay has appointed Peter Langenberg as chief operating officer for the group, solidifying the central leadership team structure following July’s acquisition of global producer-distributor Endemol Shine Group.
As part of his new remit, Langenberg (pictured) will have oversight of Banijay Brands and IT, as well as operational responsibility for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia and Poland.
He reports directly into company Marco Bassetti, who called Langenberg “a key figure” in the acquisition of Endemol and its subsequent integration into the Banijay fold.
He joined the French multinational production and distribution company in November 2016 as COO and has since led operations across the global footprint.
