NAIROBI, May 5 (Xinhua) Kenya should implement global and local action plans aimed at revitalizing the maternal, children and adolescent health agenda that has taken a back seat amid COVID-19 disruptions, campaigners said on Wednesday during a virtual event to mark International Day of the Midwife.
Mercy Onsando, CEO of Health NGOs Network (HENNET), said that Kenya should prioritize investments in the health of women, children and youth as the country embarks on pandemic recovery. The government should avail sufficient resources to ensure that provision of maternal and infant health services is seamless after disruptions caused by the pandemic, said Onsando.
