WOLF LAKE, Mich. â Hundreds of thousands of people are still waiting for their unemployment checks. They either havenât been paid at all, or theyâre unable to file.
Michiganâs Unemployment Insurance Agency updated claimants Monday saying some have started getting their $300 weekly federal boost while those on PUA cannot even file.
Some people are even getting denied when they couldnât find work due to the virus.
âI never got through to them. Never. Iâve tried to call them, and they say, Call back later, â said Sharon Tucker of Wolf Lake.
Thousands of Pennsylvanians will soon begin receiving an extra $300 per week in unemployment payments, according to the state Department of Labor and Industry.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer confirmed Wednesday that the $300 unemployment payments have begun going out to Michiganders who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
