Brunei records 12 5-per cent trade increase in September 2020

The highest share of exports in September 2020 went to Singapore 35.3 per cent. - Bloomberg BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei recorded B$1,183.1 million (US$890.2 million) total trade for August 2020 due to a major rise in imports. The latest International Merchandise Trade Statistics released on Wednesday (Dec 16) by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Finance and Economy showed that Brunei s exports dropped 3.5 per cent year-on-year to B$597.4 million, and imports increased 35.3 per cent to B$585.7 million in September. The trade balance recorded a decrease of 93.7 per cent to B$11.7 million in September 2020 from B$185.8 million in September 2019.

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 10 Malaysia today shared its best practices and experiences on the compilation of International Merchandise Trade Statistics, Statistics of International Trade in Services, and Sustainable Development Goals at the Asean Community Statistical System (ACSS) High-Level Forum. The forum was held back-to-back with the 10th session of the ACSS (ACSS10) committee, which was hosted virtually by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) as the chair of ACSS10 and participated by the heads of the Asean National Statistical Offices including Malaysia.
