IPAF Summit to Focus on Sustainability, Digitalization, and More

IPAF For the first time ever, the Summit of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will be held as a virtual event, along with a digital prize ceremony for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) on March 18. The event will focus on sustainability in powered access, digitization and technological innovation for safer working at height, and the challenges and opportunities the industry will be faced with as the world reemerges after the COVID-19 pandemic.  The line-up for the event includes: Suzannah Nichol, CEO, Build UK, who will look at the opportunities and challenges facing major contractors in maintaining safe and sustainable worksites, and how enhanced accident reporting, digital innovation, and working closely with partner organizations like IPAF will play a key part in achieving shared objectives.

Using e-mail By Euan Youdale16 February 2021 The 2021 shortlist for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs), taking place as a virtual event on 18 March this year, was first announced in early 2020.  As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 event, originally set to take place in London, UK, in March of that year, was postponed and will now be presented online at the same time as the IPAF Summit. The two-hour joint conference and awards showcase will start at 10:00 EST, 15:00 GMT, 16:00 CET.

The agreement will also focus on joint promotion of standards, including the updated A92 Suite of Standards that went into effect in the U.S. in June 2020, as well as sharing knowledge and disseminating best practices, informing and influencing national safety and regulatory bodies with a unified voice, and promoting the need for effective powered access operator and supervisor training.
