Harley-Davidson spins Livewire off as EV bike brand

After the introduction of the Harley-Davidson Livewire electric motorcycle, the Milwaukee motorcycle maker is spinning off the name as an all-electric vehicle (EV) motorcycle brand. The first Livewire branded electric motorcycle will be launched July 8, 2021 and will premiere at the International Motorcycle Show 2021 in the US the same month.
Livewire as a brand will have hubs in Silicon Valley, California and Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a virtual headquarters. Focusing purely on electric motorcycles, Livewire will initially concentrate on the urban electric mobility market, leveraging on Harley-Davidson’s engineering expertise, manufacturing footprint, supply chain infrastructure, and global logistics capabilities.

Harley-Davidson has announced its own electric motorcycle brand, LiveWire, as it works to reinvent itself and cash in on the move to electric vehicles.
Automakers around the world are racing to deploy electric vehicles, with governments viewing electric vehicles as a key component of the fight against climate change. Harley-Davidson is getting in on the action with the announcement of its LiveWire brand of electric motorcycles.

American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has launched its all-electric brand LiveWire, which it says will redefine “electric, delivering the best experience for the urban rider.” The first LiveWire-branded motorcycle is scheduled to launch on July 8, 2021, and will be showcased at the International Motorcycle Show on July 9, 2021. Nothing else is known about this new motorcycle at this point.
