There is no evidence travellers from a low risk country should take a PCR Covid test, EasyJet boss Johan Lundgren said on ITV s Peston show
Holidaymakers should not need to take costly PCR Covid-19 tests if they are vaccinated or if they are travelling from a low-risk country, the boss of EasyJet has said.
The government is expected to announce later this week that international travel can resume later this month, so long as certain measures, such as coronavirus tests pre-departure and on day two of your arrival in the UK, are followed.

Prof Neil Ferguson: I m optimistic summer will be normal
Prof Ferguson, director of the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London, said: The data is very encouraging and very much in line with what we expected. It s much better to be vaccinating people than shutting down the whole of society. I m feeling fairly optimistic that we will be not completely back to normal but something which feels a lot more normal by the summer.
He said the risk of vaccines being less effective in the face of variants was the major concern that could still lead to a very major third wave in the autumn .
