Soumya Swaminathan said Monday that there needs to be more data on what occurs when mixing vaccines. “We’re in a data-free, evidence-free zone as far as a mix and match, there is limited data on mix and match,” explains Swaminathan. “There are studies going on, we need to wait for that and maybe it will be a very good approach.” The comments were brought up during a vaccine donation announcement given by International Development Minister Karina Gould and Minister of Public Services and Procurement Anita Anand. Gould believes Canadians should have faith in the local science, stressing their knowledge and qualifications.
