Saifullah brothers meet Wapda chairman Peshawar February 9, 2021 PESHAWAR: Saifullah brothers have urged authorities concerned to start work on the second phase of Kurram Tangi Dam to achieve socioeconomic development of the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this regard Humayun Saifullah Khan and senior central leader Salim Saifullah Khan had a special meeting with WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Muzammil Hussain at his office in Islamabad. During the meeting, they called for launching work immediately on the second phase of the dam after removing obstacles besides accelerating the ongoing work on Baran Dam which were key projects to socioeconomic development of the southern parts which were neglected in the past.

Textile association rejects decision placing moratorium on gas supply Peshawar February 3, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textile Mills Association (KPTMA) representing textile mills of the province has rejected the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Energy for placing the moratorium on the supply of gas to textile industrial units for self-generation of electricity. The association asked the chief minister, the federal minister for Energy, Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Adviser to Chief Minister on Energy and Power and the chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help resolve the issue and take it up at the Council of Common Interests. According to a press release, a meeting of the member mills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textile Mills Association was held with Salim Saifullah Khan in the chair.

Peshawar January 23, 2021 PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textile Mills Association Chairman Salim Saifullah Khan on Friday asked the prime minister to look into the decision of Cabinet Committee on Energy about the discontinuation of natural gas supply to captive power generation for general industry from 1 February and the export-oriented sectors from 1 March 2021. In a statement, he said the entire textile industries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was in a state of shock after learning about this news item published in a section of the press. He said the decisions of the federal government would sabotage the efforts for industrialization and boosting exports. He said the exporters had worked hard to receive export orders for the year 2021.
