POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - Georgia educators are continuing to get their COVID-19 vaccines. On Saturday teachers and staff from Savannah-Chatham County Public School System got a little help from ten Chatham County healthcare providers.
One of them was Pooler Pharmacy, which was giving out the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The clinic was set up like a drive-thru. The owner says they were able to give out 500 doses to educators, as well as other Georgians eligible for the vaccine.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A weapon was found at Godley Station School on Friday during a ârandom administrative inspection,â according to a statement released by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
That statement, in full below, was sent to parents by Godley Station Schoolâs Acting Principal Lesley M. Jordan:
Good afternoon Parents, this is your school principal with a safety message. During a random administrative inspection today, a weapon was found in our school. School administrators immediately took possession of the weapon and Campus Police were called. The investigation continues and no further details can be released at this time.

An annual showcase to highlight outstanding artworks by students across Savannah and Chatham County is carrying on virtually this year, as the New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition features over 125 entries of diverse images that can be viewed online in a 3D gallery space.
Presented by The Links, Inc., the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, and Savannah’s municipal government, the 20th-annual New Beginnings exhibit is a fascinating collection of artworks by middle- and high-school students from across the county. Appropriately based on the theme “Visual Art in a Virtual World,” this year’s exhibit was launched with a Feb. 23 virtual opening reception featuring speakers commending the participating artists, teachers, and sponsors.
