Aramco, Cognite form JV for industrial digitalization
DHAHRAN/OSLO, December 21, 2020 Saudi Aramco Development Company, a subsidiary of Aramco, and Norway’s Cognite AS, a leading industrial investment company, have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture (JV) as part of their strategic digitalization partnership. Aramco and Cognite will establish a new company that will focus on digitalization in Saudi Arabia and the broader Mena region. The JV will develop, distribute and deploy end-to-end digital and advanced solutions for customers across industries, including oil and gas, power and utilities, manufacturing and shipping. The solutions will enable the digital transformation of companies through production and yield optimization, predictive maintenance, workforce digitalization, advanced safety measures and a reduced environmental footprint of industrial operations.

DHAHRAN The Saudi Aramco Development Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, on Monday announced it has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Cognite AS (Cognite), a global industrial software company and a majority-owned subsidiary of Aker ASA (Aker), as part of the two companies’ strategic partnership on industrial digitalization and sustainability initiatives.
Aramco unit in deal to offer Google Cloud services
DHAHRAN, December 21, 2020 Saudi Aramco Development Company, a subsidiary of state oil giant Aramco, said it has joined hands with Google Cloud to offer high-performance, low-latency cloud services to customers in the kingdom. The kingdom is being added to the global network of Google Cloud Platform regions, as part of a strategic alliance agreement signed between the company and Google Cloud this month. Under this deal, Google Cloud will establish and operate a new cloud region in Saudi Arabia, while a new company will be formed following all required regulatory clearances to supply cloud solutions and services to customers, with an emphasis on businesses inside Saudi Arabia.
