Abu Dhabi: The Director of the General Organisation of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), Engineer Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Al Omar, revealed the start of Saudisation of aviation jobs for women, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
During the Saudi Airlines’ celebration of the graduation of the first batch of the GOAL programme, which was launched in January 2020, Engineer Al Omar stressed that all co-pilot jobs have been 100 per cent localized, and that Saudi Airlines is employing nationals in all fields.

Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF) is planning to establish a major airline company in partnership with other investment bodies.
The new airline company will compete with Saudi Airlines and other large carriers in the region, online newspaper
Maaal reported, citing unidentified people.
The company will run international and domestic flights. The project has gone a long way in its study, the report added.
State-owned Saudi Arabian Airlines is the biggest carrier in the kingdom. Others include low-cost carrier Flyadeal, owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines, and Flynas, owned by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Al Saud’s Kingdom Holding.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has deported about 802 undocumented Nigerians serving random prison terms, over high cost of jail upkeep.
A statement by Gabriel Aduda, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the 802 Nigerian nationals returning from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport yesterday and today
The Returnees will be conveyed via two Saudi Arabian Airlines.
The first batch will arrive on the 28th of January at 11:50hrs, while the second will arrive 29th January at 10:35hrs.
