ISLAMABAD: In a surprise development and as a success of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has committed to provide $500 million (75.50 billion) to Pakistan from the Saudi Development Fund for development of infrastructure, water resources and hydropower projects in Pakistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced this in Jeddah on Saturday.
Qureshi said the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman while accepting Khan’s invitation was expected to visit Pakistan after the Eid.
He said a Saudi delegation will visit Pakistan after Eid to discuss the visit of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and his foreign minister to Pakistan.

The old logic was that U.S. withdrawal from Mideast affairs would leave a dangerous vacuum. The new thinking was that by keeping some distance one could encourage greater self-reliance.

JEDDAH: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Friday held delegation-level talks to discuss bilateral ties and ways to further strengthen cooperation.
The prime minister, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit, led his delegation in the talks held at the Royal Court in Jeddah, while the crown prince led the Saudi side.
