Iran has welcomed a change of tone from Saudi Arabia, as both countries seem to be open to taking steps to calm tensions and improve cooperation
In a statement yesterday by the Iranian Foreign Ministry s spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh said that by adopting constructive stances…the two countries…can enter a new chapter of interaction and cooperation to reach peace, stability and regional development, by overcoming differences.
Tehran, he added, is a pioneer on the path to regional cooperation and welcomes the change of tone from Saudi Arabia. Khatibzadeh s remarks come days after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman himself called for a good and special relationship with Iran in a televised interview on Tuesday.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) recently called for good relations with Iran, to help push the Middle East toward prosperity and growth. Iran responded by welcoming Saudi Arabia s change of tone to discuss a new chapter in relations.
This is in stark contrast to policies of the pre-MBS era, when the Kingdom would not communicate with such an extremist regime where meeting points between Riyadh and Tehran were nearly absent. At the time, Iran s role as the bad boy of the region seemed set.

Reports earlier this month suggested senior officials had called on Johnson to change his number because of concerns about how many people contacted him directly. Downing Street declined to comment on the report – first revealed on the Popbitch gossip website – that Johnson’s phone number was available online to anyone who searched for it.
