Man fractured best mate s jaw in attack

Kyran Hambling left one of his closest friends in immense pain after punching him repeatedly, a court heard. Prosecution barrister, Lucy Conroy, said surgeons needed to put metal plates in place to fix the man’s lower jaw. She read out a victim personal statement which said how he felt betrayed and has issues trusting people following the vicious attack. Kyran Hambling Ms Conroy told Southampton Crown Court how Hambling, 25, had falsely believed his friend had stolen his “blue Nike man bag” containing £23 from his flat in Hythe.

He previously pleaded guilty to the offences which happened between September last year and January 8, 2021. Defending, Berenice Mulvanny stressed how prisoners faced up to 23 hours in their cells at HMP Winchester. She told how Ayling has issues with alcohol, substances and mental health. However, Ms Mulvanny mentioned he had been working towards certificates while in prison on remand. In a letter read out by his barrister, Ayling said: “I am truly sorry for the hurt and pain I have caused”. During the hearing, Judge Parker said: “I have no doubt that he is a danger to women.”

Paul Deacon jailed for 15 months at Southampton Crown Court

1/1 A MAN has been jailed for 15 months for attacking five emergency workers who tried to help him after he was found drunk in Southampton city centre. Heroin and crack cocaine addict Paul Deacon assaulted police, paramedics and nurses - leaving three of his victims fearing they might have caught Covid-19. The emergency services were called to Above Bar Street on the evening of March 7, Southampton Crown Court was told. Richard Mandel, prosecuting, said Deacon was thought to have suffered a stroke but turned out to be extremely drunk . Mr Mandel added: He was aggressive towards ambulance staff. Police put him on a stretcher and wheeled him into the ambulance. He was being attended to by a paramedic when he raised his left arm and punched him in the face.
