Knowle Hill, Eastleigh. Photo from: Google Maps. A MAN has been charged after a suspicious vehicle allegedly failed to stop for police. On Saturday at around 2.45pm, officers said a vehicle was seen driving dangerously in Eastleigh. The driver is said to have then failed to stop. Despite this though, the vehicle was later stopped on Knowle Hill. Now police say they have charged a man following a successful stop check. Jae Williams, 19, of Lincolns Rise has been charged with one count of driving a vehicle dangerously, one count of driving a vehicle without a license and one count of driving whilst disqualified.
Oceana Boulevard, Briton Street. A BLOCK of flats in Southampton has been raided as part of an investigation into firearms offences. On Saturday morning, a warrant was executed at Oceana Boulevard on Briton Street. This was said to be in connection to an investigation into firearm offences. Charlie Watts, 24, of no fixed abode has now been charged with one count of false imprisonment, one count of controlling and coercive behaviour, two counts of theft, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, one count of possession of a Class B drug and one count of dangerous driving. He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning.

A 35-year-old man who was fined £23,000 for five fly-tipping offences around Nursling and Baddesley has been ordered to pay another £540. Mitchell Cooper, of Hillyfields in Nursling, was found to have fly-tipped waste including two TV sets and bags of waste at the Broadlands Estate in Romsey on April 20 last year. He was ordered to pay a total of £23,072.75 in fines and costs after being sentenced at Southampton Magistrates Court in January. In a Facebook post, Cllr Nick Adams-King, deputy leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said Cooper tried to appeal his sentence on Friday April 16 but was ordered to pay an extra £540 instead.
