Southampton Crown Court. Picture: Daily Echo A MAN charged with ABH and multiple drug driving offences is due to appear at crown court for sentencing. Emil Holewik has pleaded guilty to assault occasioning ABH. The 51-year-old of Millbrook Road West has also admitted to driving a Peugeot Partner van while having morphine in his system. And on another occasion driving with traces of the cocaine breakdown substance - Benzoylecgonine - in his blood. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates Court, he also pleaded guilty to possessing the Class B drug, cannabis. He has been disqualified from driving for four years and fined £100 for the motoring offences.

Matthew Robert Goodwin must not enter the village of Ashley, Hampshire. A man has been banned from a Hampshire village for three years for harassing a woman. Matthew Robert Goodwin has been given a restraining order stopping him from contacting his victim over this period. The 29, of Hurst Close, Chandler s Ford was charged with harassment and breaching a suspended sentence order. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to messaging the woman between December last year and January 2021. He has been given a two-year community order which includes an alcohol abstinence requirement of 120 days and participating in an accredited programme for 31 days. He was fined £50. Goodwin must pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

Woman shoplifted from Asda Andrew John Tribbeck has pleaded guilty to 21 counts of theft. The 34-year-old raided supermarkets and convenience stores between September 2020 and April this year. He stole detergent, chocolate, sweets and coffee. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates’ Court, Tribbeck of Edelvale Road, also pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He further admitted intending to cause harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He has been remanded on bail and his case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

A drink-driver has been banned for 17 months. PICTURE: PA Wire/John Giles. A DRINK driver who was caught almost three times the legal limit has been locked up for 18 weeks. Paul Ivascanu was stopped behind the wheel of a Mercedes Sprinter on Bridge Road, Sarisbury. The 42-year-old Romanian national of Derby Road gave a breathalyser reading of 96mgs. The legal limit is just 35mgs making him 2.7 times the limit. He was charged with drink driving and failing to surrender custody when he didn t attend court. He pleaded guilty to all counts. Appearing before Southampton Magistrates Court he was jailed for 18 weeks.

Drink driver. Gavin Garry Short was stopped driving a Renault Clio on Allington Lane. A breathalyser test showed he was more than two times the limit. The 24-year-old of Monks Way had 82mgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is just 35mgs Appearing before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday he pleaded guilty to drink driving and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licensing authority. He was disqualified for 17 months, fined £400 and ordered to pay a £42 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
