Man caught driving motorbike with two illegal drugs in his system

A MAN caught riding a motorbike while under the influence of drugs was found to have no licence. Jack William Fry was caught riding a Suzuki motorbike with no insurance or licence on Gore Road in New Milton on Boxing Day last year. The 22-year-old was also found to be under the influence of drugs while riding. The court heard how Fry had Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - and THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - in his blood. Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, driving without and licence, and two counts of drug driving.

Daniel George James Wilson was stopped driving a BMW 5 series on Southampton Road in Titchfield. The 44-year-old was found to have 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Wilson of Durfold Wood, Plaistow in West Sussex pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on September 28 this year. Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court last Thursday he was disqualified for 17 months and fined £400.

A TEENAGER who broke a man s teeth in an unprovoked and prolonged attack has avoided jail time. Jordan Hill assaulted his victim on June 11 last year at Hedge End Railway Station and caused him actual bodily harm. The court heard how the 19-year-old carried out an unprovoked and prolonged attack, which resulted in the victim suffering broken teeth. Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm through assault. Hill, of Roke Lane, Whitely, was handed a 18 weeks suspended sentence and was ordered to pay £350 compensation. The teen was also ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

Man due in court after incident in Bishop s Waltham

Police were called to Cricklemede after a woman reported seeing a man with a firearm. An extensive search was conducted, with the assistance of armed response vehicles, dog unit, and a helicopter, however the suspect was not located. Hampshire Constabulary have now charged a man in connection with the incident. Josh Barnes, 26, of Cobbett Close, Swanmore, has been charged with assault by beating, burglary dwelling and theft, theft in dwelling other than an automatic machine or meter, breach of a non-molestation order and sending a letter/communication/article conveying a threatening message. He was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
