The Saskatchewan Health Authority has identified a positive COVID-19 case in an individual(s) in Carlton Comprehensive Public High School.
In a media release Monday evening, the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division (SRPSD) said it had been informed of these positive COVID-19 test results and communication is being shared with the classrooms/cohorts, the connected staff, as well as with the school community.
All schools in SRPSD are currently participating in remote learning so the learning program will continue remotely for all students and staff.

PRINCE ALBERT All Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 schools in Prince Albert will switch to remote learning starting Monday until Jan. 15. Prince Albert Catholic Schools and the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division made the decision with recommendations from Public Health officials, according to a joint news release. This decision is in response to Public Health recommendations based on the increased rates of community transmission of COVID-19. Students are scheduled to resume normal classes on Jan. 18 pending further review of health data.

SASKATOON Prince Albert school children are sporting some new winter clothes thanks to the Kinsmen Club s fourth annual Toques and Mitts for Kids gift-giving project. The club bought new toques, mitts, scarves and neck warmers and gave them to 550 students at five schools in Prince Albert. “We want to make a difference in kids’ lives. We want to serve our community’s most vulnerable people,” said project chairperson Jared Devers from the Prince Albert Kinsmen Club. COVID-19 restrictions will change the presentation of the gifts for this year, as the club representatives used to visit the schools and hand out the gifts in person.
