Barry Morphew Faces New Charges, Including Tampering With Corpse
The Chaffee County District Court has filed two new charges against Barry Morphew: tampering with a deceased human body and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Barry is also facing charges of first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and attempting to influence a public servant in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Suzanne Morphew. Suzanne went missing on May 10, 2020 after reportedly going for a bike ride and never coming home.
A Tuesday (May 18) complaint details the charges, which accuse Barry of killing Suzanne and tampering with her body between May 9 and May 10 of last year.

A Colorado man suspected of murdering his missing wife is now accused of casting a fraudulent vote on her behalf in the November 2020 presidential election.
According to an arrest affidavit signed by a judge in Chaffee County on Thursday, Barry Morphew told investigators he mailed the ballot with a vote for Donald Trump on his wife s behalf because all these other guys are cheating and he thought his wife would have voted for Trump anyway.
Morphew was arrested on May 5 and faces charges of first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and attempting to influence a public servant. He now faces one felony count for allegedly forging public documents and a misdemeanor mail-in ballot offense, according to court documents.

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. A day after his arrest on a charge of first-degree murder, Barry Morphew, the husband of missing Chaffee County woman Suzanne Morphew, made his first court appearance.
He was in a small courtroom in Chaffee County in an orange striped jail jumpsuit and was wearing a face mask due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to the hearing, his attorney asked the judge to reconsider a motion that was granted earlier to allow a camera in the courtroom. Morphew s attorney also asked that if a camera was allowed, that Barry Morphew be allowed to wear street clothes. The judge denied that motion.
