SAGINAW, MI A Saginaw man is facing eight felonies due to prosecutors alleging he repeatedly shot a woman.
Cortney C. Washington, 31, on Jan. 22 was arraigned in Saginaw County District Court on single counts of assault with intent to murder a life offense felonious assault, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition, plus four counts of felony firearm.
Man found shot to death on Christmas Eve in Saginaw County

BUENA VISTA TWP, MI Police are investigating the Christmas Eve shooting death of a man in Saginaw County’s Buena Vista Township as a homicide.
About 2:52 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, Buena Vista Township police officers responded to 636 29th St. for reports of several gunshots being fired in the area. Upon their arrival, they found a vehicle in the driveway containing the body of 26-year-old Alonzo K. Conley, police said.
Conley had suffered at least one apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
