Daniel Philip Cordero, 32, of Galt was arrested Thursday morning, March 11 in his motel room on the 4300 block of Madison Avenue in Sacramento County.
At 7:19 a.m. on Thursday, a security officer from the motel contacted the Sacramento County Sheriffâs Office Communications Center stating that when he looked into the window of a room that should be vacant, he saw weapons, high capacity magazines and a silencer laying on the bed.
Deputies arrived at the motel and found Cordero, who was known to law enforcement, inside the room.
Initially Cordero was uncooperative and refused to exit the room.
The Sacramento County Sheriffâs Office Special Enforcement Detail (SED) and Critical Incident Negotiation Team (CINT) arrived to assist patrol deputies in evacuating adjacent rooms and gaining peaceful compliance. After a two and a half hour standoff, negotiators were able to convince Cordero, who was the only occupant, to walk out of the room where deputies detained him without inc

JUST AFTER 11:15 LAST NIGHT, HIGHWAY PATROL SAID ALBERTO VAZ QUEZ AND HIS PASSENGER WERE DRIVING BACK TO STOCKTON AFTER VISITING A DRIVE-IN. BOTH HAD BEEN DRINKING ALCOHOL.
