Ten Indicted for Fentanyl Trafficking Details Written by FBI Sacramento, California - A federal grand jury returned an 11-count indictment against members of a drug trafficking organization, charging them with fentanyl trafficking and other related offenses, United States Attorney McGregor Scott announced. Jose Lopez-Zamora, 26; Leonardo Flores Beltran, 29; Christian Anthony Romero, 25; Joaquin Sotelo Valdez, 24; Sandro Escobedo, 32; Erika Zamora Rojo, 45; and Alejandro Tello, 22; all of Sacramento; and Jason Lee, 48, of Sparks, Nevada, and Rudi Flores, 27, of Manteca, are charged with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine as well as either fentanyl distribution or possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. Jose Aguilar Saucedo, 22, of Sacramento, is charged with three counts of fentanyl distribution.

Robert (Bob) George Canfield Jr

Robert (Bob) George Canfield Jr. passed away on January 15, 2021. He was 82. Bob was born October 16, 1938 in Waterbury, Connecticut. He was the son of Robert George Canfield Sr. and Christobel Enid Canfield. He had one sister - “Toby” - who passed away in a car accident during May of 1944. Robert Sr. and Christobel divorced soon after; Bob and his mother moved to San Francisco in July of 1944 to stay with Christobel s brother, Wallace Lampshire. Christobel later remarried Lawrence Anthony Schacker. In 1957, Bob entered the Marine Corps and married Elisabeth (Liz) Strengmann. Bob and Liz spent the first 3 years of marriage in Hawaii where he was stationed with the Marines. While the two were there, Liz gave birth to their first son, Shane Alan Canfield. After Bob left the Marines, he moved his family to Sacramento, California. Soon after, he and Liz welcomed 3 more children: Mark Robert Canfield, Tianya (Tia) Canfield, and Lawrence (Larry) Wilhelm Canfield. Liz passed awa

4 Sac County Main Jail Inmates Suffer From Overdoses

By Sasha Margulies, iHeart Media Jan 29, 2021 An investigation is underway after four inmates at Sacramento County Main Jail suffered from apparent overdoses. The Sacramento County Sheriff s Department reports four inmates at the jail suffered from unknown medical emergencies yesterday. Medical personnel, who believed the emergencies were overdoses, administered Narcan to the inmates to counter the effects. All four inmates soon became responsive and were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
