The ceremony usually held quarterly to honor military members who died without the benefit of military honors and interred during that time period but were postponed last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Robert ‘Bob’ Dinwiddle Dec. 19, 1942 Feb. 27, 2021 Loving husband, father and friend, Robert ‘Bob’ Gerald Dinwiddie unexpectedly passed away of natural causes on Feb. 27, 2021, at his home in Vacaville, California. Bob was born on Dec. 19, 1942, in Long Beach, California, to his parents, Robert Roy and Medora Opal Dinwiddie. Bob attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School where he played the center position on their winning football team and graduated in the Class of 1961. After high school, he attended UCLA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1966. While at UCLA he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity where he made lifelong friends.
