(Supplied) A woman who blackmailed a grieving couple over a lost phone containing photos of their dying daughter is appealing against her jail term, saying the sentencing judge was overwhelmed by the crime. Siti Kamal, 26, from Malaysia, has been in protective custody since she was arrested for seeking money from Jay and Deanne Windross while their 11-month-old daughter, Amiyah, was dying in Melbourne s Monash Children s Hospital in 2019.

Gucci opts for pop-up strategy to launch The North Face collaboration By Imogen Bailey | 13 January 2021 Gucci has unveiled its newest pop-up locations at Sydney and Melbourne in celebration of its new collaboration with The North Face.  The pop-ups, known as Gucci Pins, showcase the new products in an immersive environment, inviting customers to explore the collections through entertainment, interactive and audio visual experiences.  The Sydney and Melbourne Pins are also complemented by a virtual Gucci PokéStop inside of the Pokémon Go AR game.  Bringing the physical and digital worlds together, players who visit the Gucci PokéStops (which include the physical locations of Gucci Pins, ArtWalls, and selected Gucci stores) will have access to three digitally wearable items from the collection.

New COVID cases Picture: Gary Sissons VICTORIA’S long run of days without COVID-19 community transmission was broken just before the new year when a case was recorded in Mentone. The Department of Health and Human Services announced on 30 December that three new cases had been identified in Mentone, Mitcham, and Hallam. As of 11 January there are five active cases of COVID-19 among residents in the Kingston local government area. The DHHS has also included multiple local locations on their list of COVID-19 exposure sites. People who visited the Woodlands Golf Club bar in Mordialloc on 28 December between 4.40pm and 5.15pm were asked to get tested and isolate for 14 days. A positive COVID-19 case had attended the clubhouse bar. Visitors to the golf course between 12pm and 6pm on that day were asked to monitor for symptoms.
