The ruling issued Monday affirms the felony conviction of first-degree assault causing great bodily harm. Martinez Damian was sentenced to 206 months in prison for the conviction. The sentence is an upward departure from sentencing guidelines.

Hearing set for suspect in rural Grove City shooting

(Litchfield MN-) The alleged getaway car driver in the shooting of a rural Grove City man made a court appearance Tuesday. 18-year-old Jaden Kramp of Litchfield is charged with Felony Aiding an Offender to Avoid Arrest, for allegedly driving 19-year-old Carl Leaf to-and-from Tyeson Schaumberg s farm site near Grove City October 4th. Leaf is accused of shooting Schaumberg because he was angry Schaumberg had smoked meth with Leaf s girlfriend. Schaumberg survived being shot in the neck. Kramp had an initial appearance and Rule-8 hearing in Meeker County District Court yesterday, and a hearing to deal with various legal issues was set for February 17th. Leaf had a hearing scheduled for today but was cancelled.
