Snowmobile Breaks Through Thin Ice in Meeker County
LITCHFIELD A Hutchinson man is okay after the snowmobile he was driving broke through thin ice.
The Meeker County Sheriff s Office says they received a report of a snowmobile in the water on Lake Washington on Sunday.
The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m. about 200 feet from the shore.

Snowmobile Breaks Through Ice on Lake Koronis
LITCHFIELD Two people were able to escape after their snowmobile broke through the ice over the weekend.
The incident happened Saturday at around 7:00 a.m. on Lake Koronis, about 100 feet from shore and a mile east of the south access.
The Meeker County Sheriff s Office says a snowmobile, driven by 21-year-old
Tristan Nelson of Brooten, came across a thin patch of ice when the snowmobile broke through and was submerged.
Nelson and his passenger, 24-year-old
Nathan Wander of Belgrade, were able to get out and were not hurt.

Sheriff: Father, Son Arrested on School Roof
GROVE CITY A father and son have been arrested for allegedly breaking into the high school in Grove City.
The Meeker County Sheriff s Office says they received a burglary alarm notification from the A-C-G-C High School just after midnight on Saturday morning.
Responding deputies set-up a perimeter and did a search of the building. They found two people up on the roof, 42-year-old
Dean Peterson and 18-year-old
Prestin Peterson of Litchfield.
The Sheriff says an investigation determined the same two men were identified as suspects for two prior burglaries at the school in November and earlier this month. They are expected to be charged in Meeker County on all three burglaries.
