Traditional Spanish Market | Spanish Colonial Arts Society

This year’s Traditional Spanish Market on the Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding streets is a go for Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25. There will not be a preview or awards competition this year, however. Learn more about this year’s market here. This market was first held in Santa Fe in 1926. Rigorous standards were developed to ensure that Spanish Market artists participated in regional Hispanic heritage and they were juried into art categories that represent the established traditional arts and crafts of New Mexico and southern Colorado. Today, there are nineteen art categories with approximately 200 adult artists working within them.
