In the Silicon Valley last month, an insurance adjuster provided the court an embarrassing hot mic moment.
Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Roberta Hayashi was seating jurors around her courtroom for social distancing, explaining their juror number might be different than their seat number.
That’s when a voice blurted out, “Oh my God, the judge is a “f ng idiot.”
The words echoed out of the speakers around the courtroom. Those present said everyone exchanged stares looking for the culprit.

An insurance agent was caught on hot mic swearing at a Bay Area judge, court documents and transcripts say.
“Oh my god,” Vince San Filippo said during the Santa Clara County Superior Court hearing April 21. “This f ing judge is an idiot.”
San Filippo, an insurance claims agent with Liberty Mutual, was monitoring the case for the company on behalf of Doris Luci, a woman who rear-ended a car with two passengers in San Jose in 2016 and has since died. Silvia Rosaliano and Kevin Lazo, the plaintiffs, were awarded $714,000.

A FORMER Netflix executive has been found guilty of fraud after accepting more than $500,000 in bribes and kickbacks while overseeing the streaming giant s internet technology department.
Michael Kail, 49, was found guilty by a federal jury on Friday of accepting lucrative stock options and more than a half-million dollars in bribes from tech companies to approve IT contracts with Netflix.

Kail, who was vice president of internet technology at Netflix between 2011 and 2014, was indicted in 2018 on 19 counts of wire fraud, three counts of mail fraud, and seven counts of money laundering.
