“Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this situation,” the watch reads. “Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.”
This is the first such watch for the Santa Clarita Valley this year, and comes after two weekends in a row in which a Wind Advisory had been issued for the valley.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, no areas of the Santa Clarita Valley were under consideration for Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) by Southern California Edison (SCE) as a result of the wind.
