Just after 3:30 p.m., reports were received of a stolen vehicle, a Tesla, at a charging station on Newhall Ranch Road near McBean Parkway, according to Sgt. Jepson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “Deputies responded to a call reporting a stolen Tesla outside of (the Santa Clarita Valley),” Jepson said. “We located the vehicle at a charging station on Newhall Ranch Road.” “At least one” person was detained in relation to the stolen vehicle, the station was able to confirm.

Upon arrival, firefighters said there was a metal flat building with wires down in the area, according to Lua. An exterior fire was found after an investigation from firefighters on scene, with knockdown of the blaze achieved just 15 minutes after being reported, Lua said.

Alert Employee Recognizes Stolen U-Haul, Suspect Arrested On Multiple Felonies An alert employee at a Canyon Country U-Haul location recognized a truck as stolen, leading to the arrest of the suspect on multiple felonies, officials said. On Thursday, Dec. 17 at about 8:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 27000 block of Sierra Highway, in Canyon Country for the report of a possible stolen U-Haul trailer, according to Sgt. Joel Nebel with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau. “An alert U-Haul employee recognized the trailer as being stolen and called the Sheriff’s,” Nebel said in an email. Upon investigation, deputies learned the trailer had been reported stolen by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Dec. 14, according to Nebel.
