Garcia Interviews With KHTS, Discusses Illegal Marijuana Growers, Stimulus Checks
Congressman Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, spoke with KHTS on air about several topics including illegal marijuana growers around the Santa Clarita Valley, the Congressional Art Competition, and stimulus checks.
Congressman Garcia discussed several important topics on air with KHTS, beginning with his recent surveillance of illegal marijuana grows in the Antelope Valley alongside the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
“These aren’t the legal state-sanctioned operations, these aren’t even small illegal operations in folks’ backyards,” said the Congressman. “These are massive nurseries that are being put up in the middle of the Antelope Valley Desert, Acton and Aqua Dulce, and on a scale you wouldn’t believe.”
Santa Clarita Veterinarian Discusses Dogs Chewing On Sticks And Confrontations Between Dogs And Rattlesnakes
Dr. Jamie Ronchetto from Cinema Veterinary Centre in Santa Clarita answered questions from KHTS listeners regarding dogs chewing on sticks and confrontations between dogs and rattlesnakes.
Dr. Ronchetto answered one question about a puppy who loved to chew on sticks. Dr. Ronchetto says it can be dangerous for dogs to chew on sticks if they begin to ingest them. The dog can get parts of the stick stuck in their mouth. She has had to sedate dogs on various occasions to remove these splinters from their mouths. Parts of the stick are often lodged in between their teeth at the roof of their mouth and underneath the tongue.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed Tuesday 18 new deaths and 224 new cases of COVID-19, with 27,807 total cases in the Santa Clarita Valley.
