DeFUNIAK SPRINGS A man suspected of manufacturing child porn in his home, and potentially a hidden bunker beneath his property, was taken into custody after he greeted law enforcement at his door with a shotgun.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office s Special Victim’s Unit executed a search warrant Dec. 16 at 7105 Rock Hill Road near DeFuniak Springs after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to a news release from the Sheriff s Office.
The suspect, Marty Scott Bass, 57, came to the door holding a shotgun. After he was given multiple commands, Bass put down the weapon and was detained, the Sheriff s Office reported.

A Pace teen has been charged with raping a teen girl last year at a party near Jay. The arrest came after a DNA evidence match by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Seth Tyler McDonald, 19, has been charged with first degree sexual assault of a victim between 12 and 18 years old.
In September 2019, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a sexual assault case at the Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton. The 15-year old female told deputies that she had attended a party in the 6300 block of Old Pollard Road north of Jay. She told deputies she had been drinking vodka and beer, according to an arrest report.
Former Milton pastor allegedly used social media to obtain child porn
A former Milton pastor charged earlier this week with possession of child pornography used the username willjones6969 on the social media site Tumblr to allegedly obtain sexually explicit images of children as young as 3 years old, his arrest report revealed.
William Dalton Milam, 62, was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Monday and charged with two counts of promoting sexual performance of a child and 25 counts of possession of child pornography.
At the time of his arrest, Milam was still listed as pastor on the church’s website and provided the sermon Dec. 13. On Tuesday, Olivet Baptist Church issued a written statement to the News Journal that said Milam no longer was the pastor there.
Pastor Who Crusaded Against Sunday Alcohol Sales Arrested For Child Porn

William Dalton Milam a 62-year-old pastor at Olivet Baptist Church in Milton, Florida was arrested Monday on two counts of promoting sexual performance of a child and 25 counts of possession of child pornography.
Milam had made a name for himself locally by leading a crusade to end the sale and consumption of alcohol on Sundays.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) began investigating Milam after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children suggested they look into his activities. The FDLE eventually traced an Internet Protocol (IP) address, a numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network, back to Milam s home residence.
Milam was vocal during a campaign in 2016 by Santa Rosa County municipalities to change local ordinances to allow the sale of liquor on Sundays.
“Oh for the old days, the old days when NO restaurant was open on Sundays,” Milam wrote in a guestview for the News Journal on July 17, 2016. “Oh for the days when ‘blue laws’ were in effect all over this country. But, those days are gone. There are a significant amount of people who appreciate that the streets of our city could be just a little safer with no Sunday sale of liquor.”
