May 20, 2021 The city of San Antonio and the San Antonio Water System are lifting Stages 1 and 2 water restrictions as of today. Officials say recent rains have sent the ten-day average for the Edwards Aquifer above the level that would trigger water restrictions. SAWS informed City Manager Erik Walsh that it would now be safe to end the watering rules that have been in place since last October. Officials advise residents still not to go nuts watering their lawns, so as to save on their water bills over the summer.  Photo: Getty Images
