San Angelo ISD Central Oaks St. Campus Closed Suddenly
SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Independent School District announced Thursday that classes at the Central Oakes St. campus will be moved online Friday due to a water issue.
According to the San Angelo ISD, on Feb. 4, due to water pressure issues at the Central High School on Oakes campus related to a City of San Angelo water main break, out of an abundance of caution, all Central on Oakes 9th grade students will not report to campus Friday, February 5, 2021 and instead will connect online through Schoology. The City is working diligently to repair the water main in an attempt to bring the water pressure back to the campus, but at this time the issue is expected to continue throughout tomorrow with little to no access to water.
SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Independent School District officials Tuesday confirmed nine new Covid-19 cases in the district.
According to the district s website, there are three new staff members and six new students infected with Covid.
The staff members are from Lincoln and Glenn Middle Schools and San Jacinto Elementary School.
There are two students who attend Lake View High School, two who attend Central High School and one each who attend Central on Oaks and Santa Rita Elementary School.
There are 55 active Covid cases in the SAISD.
All San Angelo ISD High School students will have an early release at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 17, 2020. The winter break begins with an early release for all students on Friday Dec. 18, 2020. The release times are as follows:

Operation Blue Santa, hosted by the San Angelo Coalition of Police, was held Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter on 29th Street.
SAPD officers were assisted by Goodfellow Air Force Base Security Forces members as children from the San Angelo Independent School District and TLCA were given the opportunity to Christmas shop with the officers.
