Ramsey Clark, former U.S. Attorney General and renowned international human rights attorney who stood against U.S. military aggression worldwide, died peacefully April 9 at his home in New York City, surrounded by close family. He was 93 years old.
As a pre-teen growing up in Albuquerque, I certainly knew his name and that he was attorney general. I could not imagine then that we would become friends, that I would have the honor of working with him and learning what a great humanitarian Ramsey Clark was.
Adelphicos nigrilatum
Description:
A beautiful Colubrid snake about 20 cm in length. I love to find a snake, as it means there are some still in existence that haven t been killed. This species of Adelphicos is native to the highlands of Chiapas and has characteristic black lines on the sides of the snake. The underside is orange and the upper scales have an iridescent shine in the light. This one was stuck in the street, sandy and thirsty. I took it to an empty lot full of vegetation. They like to get in the streets where the cement is warm and then can t get back up the curbs.
