FARMINGTON – As personnel at San Juan Regional Medical Center put out a call to the community to unite to defeat COVID-19 and get the region back to Turquoise Level restrictions, three vaccination clinics in San Juan County next week were announced by state health officials. Pre-registration and appointments will be optional but encouraged to guarantee a dose, Certified Nurse Practitioner Rita Abboud, MPH, FNP-C, of the San Juan County Public Health Office in Farmington said in an email.
A list of new clinics will be released weekly going forward, she said,
The hospital staff urged people to sign up for the vaccine on the state registry and keep practicing masking and social distancing policies.

San Juan Regional Medical Center will host a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the main parking lot, 801 W. Maple St.
Donors may schedule appointments at www.bloodhero.com with sponsor code SJRMC, or by calling or texting Kristan at (505) 686-9777. Appointments are highly recommended and will be taken before walk-ins to help with social distancing. Donors will be screened before their appointment and will be required to wear a mask. San Juan Regional Medical Center will resume walk-in lab draws at its outpatient laboratory locations Monday.
Patients visiting the Outpatient Diagnostic Center on 30th Street and the Medical Office Building on South Schwartz will no longer need to call ahead to schedule their laboratory draws or EKGs. They are welcome to walk in during regular office hours to receive their lab draws when they need them.
