East zone concessionaire Manila Water Company Inc. launched its massive clean-up at the San Juan River as part of the deal it signed with the national government and three local government units (LGU).
In a statement, Manila Water said it began to activate its Adopt-an-Estero program with various interventions to clean up the San Juan River beginning at Maytunas and Ermitanyo Creeks in Barangay Addition Hills, San Juan City.
The program is in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the local government of San Juan City.

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora announced that the city government will conduct another COVID-19 vaccination simulation at the San Juan gym on January 21 after successfully carrying out its two-day dry run of the vaccination process prior to the arrival of the vaccine.

Pinoy Big Brother fans have been glued to their screens, much more when the daughter of San Juan mayor Francis Zamora, Amanda, went inside the PBB House.
As expected, the house was abuzz with the newest member. Amanda was bombarded with questions as they did household activities together which includes food preparations which Amanda wasn’t used to.
Her housemates couldn’t resist asking her how come, to which she embarrassingly answered, “May mga tumutulong sa akin sa bahay.” Her answer gained her more fans, praising how she tries her hard to be low key, mindful of her housemates who aren’t as fortunate as her. “Ang humble ni Amanda,” filled the comments feed of the Kumu App as people watched how she answered all the questions one by one.

Belmonte was followed by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Manila City Mayor Franciso “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
The independent and non-commissioned survey was conducted by RP Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. (RPMDinc).
In face-to-face interviews, 3,500 participants were asked to rate their respective mayors regarding their government over-all performance for the year 2020.
Belmonte got the highest approval rating among its constituents at 85 percent, followed by Sotto (82 percent), Domagoso (77 percent), Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian (75 percent), and Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro (72 percent).
Meanwhile, Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco scored 69 percent; Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano, 67 percent; Makati Mayor Abigail Binay, 64 percent; Mandaluyong Mayor Carmelita Abalos, 55 percent; and San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, 53 percent.
