SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The first African American assistant district attorney in San Diego County history was appointed yesterday.
Dwain Woodley, who previously served as chief deputy district attorney, now holds the number two spot in the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, taking over for David Greenberg, who retired last month.
Woodley’s appointment is effective immediately, according to the DA’s office.
“In every leadership position Dwain has held for the past 12 years in the DA’s office, he has demonstrated exceptional judgment and outstanding management skills,” District Attorney Summer Stephan said.
“Dwain treats everyone with dignity and respect, giving a voice to the entire team and to the people of San Diego County. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) â Chula Vista Police Chief Roxanne Kennedy said in a Monday statement that the department s investigation of a missing South Bay mother remains our number one priority, after multiple media reports surfaced detailing the mother s personal life.
Maya Millete was last seen on Jan. 7 and reported missing three days later. Since then, her family has been searching for any clues leading to the mother of three s whereabouts. Her brother-in-law, Richard Drouaillet, says she disappeared without a trace.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. A hearing will be held on April 20 to determine whether to place a man convicted of several sexual assaults in a supervised home in unincorporated El Cajon.
Douglas Badger, 78, was convicted of offenses that include child molestation, kidnapping and forcible oral copulation. His victims were predominately male strangers, many of them hitchhikers, according to the San Diego County District Attorney s Office.
