Daly City officials on Thursday released the names of four officers involved in the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Roger Allen this month.
Officer Rosa Brenes, Lt. Michael Brennan, Officer Nicholas McCarthy and Officer Cameron Newton were involved in the April 7 incident, which began after an officer stopped to assist Allen with a flat tire, officials said.

Jack Remington, MD, professor emeritus of infectious diseases at Stanford Medicine, died April 8 in Menlo Park, California, of complications from an injury he sustained in a fall. He was 90.
