Haynes will lead a national virtual discussion on Saturday, a Dr. King inspired teach-in.

French Laundry celebrity chef Thomas Keller has departed Twitter. On Tuesday, after tweeting praise for the recently deceased Sheldon G. Adelson, one of President Donald Trump’s biggest donors who was also a patron of Keller’s restaurants, he immediately saw backlash.
Some called Keller tone deaf due to the recent storming of the Capitol by Trump supporters, or expressed disappointment in him for making money from “evil people.” As of last night, people began noticing that Keller had deleted his Twitter account (The San Francisco Chronicle broke the news).

Taking his most drastic step yet in response to public criticism, celebrity chef Thomas Keller took down his Twitter account on Tuesday after almost a year of blowback. The departure from the social media platform comes after many critiqued him for Tweeting praise of a right wing billionaire.
On Tuesday afternoon, the famed owner of Yountville’s the French Laundry posted thanking Sheldon G. Adelson, who had recently died, for his support of Keller’s restaurant in Las Vegas. “You will be missed,” Keller wrote.
