The analysis shows that Seattle added more than 48,000 tech jobs from 2016 to 2020, an increase of 35.4%. That brings the total number of tech employees in the region to 184,660, making it seventh largest tech market in the U.S. The San Francisco Bay Area holds the top spot, with 373,430 tech employees. For comparison, the second-fastest growing tech market in the nation between those years was Salt Lake City. It added 12,680 tech jobs, growing at a rate of 33.9%.
