San Bernardino County is now slated to move into the less-restrictive red tier of Coronavirus risk levels on Sunday, March 14, after California officials announced that the state reached its threshold of 2 million vaccines administered to people in vulnerable, low-income ZIP codes. The move means more businesses, including movie theaters and gyms, will be allowed to reopen at reduced capacity. Indoor dining will also be allowed to resume. A list of red-tier limitations and restrictions are available below. Restaurants will now be allowed to open indoors at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer. Gyms may open at 10% capacity. San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Michael Camber sentenced 31-year-old Caliph Harris to 90 days in county jail where he will be eligible for a weekend/work release program. Harris was given 12 days credit for time served,12 days credit for good conduct and will likely serve half his sentence per state law, court records show. As part of a plea deal, a San Bernardino Superior Court judge sentenced Richard Rant Leonard, 54, on Friday to four years in state prison after Leonard pleaded no contest to causing great bodily injury on an elder or dependent. Leonard received credit for 732 days time served plus 732 days for conduct, a little more than four years in total. He was released from custody the same day, booking records show.
