Medical personnel pronounced a 34-year-old man dead at the scene of a crash after he was struck by a vehicle in Victorville late Saturday night.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said deputies responded to the 12300 block of Palmdale Road, just east of Highway 395, and found Ronel Rene Young, of Victorville, lying on the road with “major injuries” just before 10:30 p.m.
Young died at the scene despite the “life-saving measures” of medical personnel.
Investigators learned that Young had been walking in the eastbound Palmdale Road lanes when he was hit by a car heading east.
