SAN CARLOS, Calif. - A 28-year-old Stockton man arrested last week following a robbery at a Walgreens store in San Carlos is believed connected to similar robberies on the Peninsula and the East Bay, the San Mateo County Sheriff s Office said.
The San Carlos robbery was reported about 10:40 a.m. Jan. 20 and included a description of the suspect. A search of the area was unsuccessful.
Deputies collaborated with the Oakland Police Department and identified the suspect at David Correra of Stockton. During the investigation, detectives linked Correra to similar robberies he committed in San Mateo and various cities in the East Bay, officials said in a news release.
He said this has improved the accessibility of local government to its citizens, which can only be a good thing. In-person meetings do provide a better dynamic and more debate, he noted.
Speaking of technology, Dombkowski said he would also like to help extend broadband internet connectivity to all corners of Woodside. Other priorities
Dombkowski would like to recruit more people to serve on town committees, which can be a challenge in such a small town. Finding qualified candidates can be a challenge, he said. We have a town of 5,500 and we re trying to staff a lot of critical positions.

Former Menlo Park City Council member Kirsten Keith announced the evening of Jan. 20 that she planned to step down from her seat on the board of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency.
During the council s reorganization meeting on Dec. 15, when council members pick which boards and committees they plan to represent, council members said they favored asking Keith to resign and instead placing a current council member in the seat. They agreed to ask Keith to resign, and place councilman Ray Mueller in the seat with Vice Mayor Betsy Nash as the alternate. They also asked that whoever take the seat commit to step down whenever he or she is no longer on the City Council. Mueller agreed to those terms.
