–On Tuesday, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office alerted locals to a potential scam related to concealed carry weapon permits.
“Permitium, the company which runs the Sheriff’s Offices’ Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit application services, recently issued this notice after becoming aware of a scam targeting individuals with CCW permits nationwide. If you become a target of this scam, please report it to: https://www.usa.gov/stop-scams-frauds.”
“As a reminder for individuals with a CCW permit or for those looking to get one, you should only be dealing directly with your local law enforcement agency.”
