Sanford Bemidji Medical Center awarded for heart health care
The American College of Cardiology has awarded Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota s Bemidji Medical Center an award for its work with a chest pain registry system.

BEMIDJI Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota s Bemidji Medical Center was honored by the American College of Cardiology recently.
According to a release, the facility earned an award from the ACC because of its work with a chest pain registry system. The Bemidji Medical Center is one of 212 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.
The award recognizes the medical center s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. It also signifies that the facility has reached an aggressive goal of treating patients to standard levels of care outlined by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association clinical gui
The changing times have seen some Bemidji businesses come and go while others have risen to the occasion and persevered through a new consumer landscape.
Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota is remodeling its Bemidji Medical Center to make all of its patient rooms private. Sanford is also expanding its ICU and telemetry units as part of the projects. This is taking place as Sanford is undergoing a long-term facility planning process.
