Highway Patrol reports 45-year-old Kandyce Blumhagen died last Friday at Sanford Health in Fargo.
Blumhagen’s vehicle and another vehicle crashed head on on Highway 46 in the early evening hours of January 12th.
The other driver, 49-year-old Alan Peterson of Forman, was pulled from his vehicle by a witness on scene before it started on fire.
He was taken to Essentia Health in Fargo with injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

NORTH DAKOTA Being a sexual assault nurse examiner, or SANE nurse, isn t in any job description. We don t make anybody choose this role or choose this position because it s passion, said Lisa Jackson, foundation director for Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
SANE nurses are paid for their time, but it s time on top of their regular duties. It s not an easy thing to do, said Jackson.
At Jamestown Regional Medical Center, the program isn t in its regular budget. Training and paying for their eight SANE nurses comes from fundraisers and grants from the state.

Dr. Doug Griffin, vice president and chief medical officer at Sanford Health in Fargo, says the state’s preparation efforts, its small size and eager volunteers have helped the pace of immunizations.
North Dakota reported 135 new positive cases on Tuesday out of 3,626 tests, for a positivity rate of about 4.37%. 1,008 cases are still active statewide. An additional 157 people have recovered; 94,584 have recovered so far during the pandemic.
The following counties have recorded new positive cases:
Ward County (Minot) – 21 cases
Burleigh County (Bismarck) – 21 cases
Cass County (Fargo) – 19 cases
Williams County (Williston) – 16 cases
Grand Forks County (Grand Forks) – 11 cases
