Cameras and motion sensors track the shopper and the items chosen from the shelves.
When the shopper leaves the store, the card associated with their Amazon account is automatically charged.
Customers do not need to visit a till once they have chosen their goods, they can walk straight out.

Whilst members of the public do not need to interact with Amazon workers the company says staff will be happy to answer any queries and will be on site to restock shelves.
