GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â Michigan State University College of Human Medicine officials announced on Monday the results of a study outlining the future economic impact of the universityâs four buildings on Grand Rapidsâ Medical Mile â netting Kent County about $339 million in annual economic impact.
The universityâs Medical Mile buildings include the Secchia Center, the MSU Grand Rapids Research Center and two buildings under construction: the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building and the Perrigo Company plc North American Corporate Headquarters.

80% of students report plans to be vaccinated
Beginning Friday, Michigan State University will start administering doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to its registered students, by appointment only, at a student-only vaccine clinic inside the Pavilion for Agricultural and Livestock Education. Doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are being made available specifically for students through the Ingham County Health Department and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
This news comes following a recent survey conducted by the National Social Norms Center at MSU that showed more than 80% of MSU undergraduate and graduate students plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to them. This response was nearly consistent across all ages, genders and ethnicities.
MSU Offering Vaccinations At Students-Only Clinic
Michigan State University is offering vaccinations for MSU students at a students-only clinic.
The University will begin administering the COVID-19 vaccine starting Friday, April 9. Fox 17 is reporting the vaccines will be available at the Pavilion for Agricultural and Livestock Education. Doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are being made available specifically for students through the Ingham County Health Department and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
